How to have a cohesive wedding from beginning to end
Planning a wedding is a daunting task. I don’t need to tell you that! From trying to find your dream venue, to picking the perfect vendors, to figuring out all the tiny details that will make it all look cohesive.
I have some tips in today’s blog post which may help you with that last part, so let’s get to that list!
2. Create a mood board
You can do this on Pinterest or Canva. It can really help to see all of your ideas together on one page/board. Plus mood boards can be really fun to make if you’re artistic or crafty at all.
3. Have the same lettering and art style throughout all of your paper pieces and signs
This is where having a stationer who is also a calligrapher AND a watercolor artist (hi, it’s me!) can really help. I remember for my wedding, I tried finding different pieces I liked and I couldn’t find them from the same shop so it all had to be piecemealed from different places. It was all slightly off and so annoying! When it came time to take Details shots, the pieces didn’t look right all together and I don’t even use those photos. When you have one vendor who does it all for you, you can have the same calligraphy and art style from your Save the Dates, to your invitations, to your day-of paper, and even your signs! It really elevates a wedding and brings it all together.
5. Find vendors whose style matches you and your wedding vibe
Don’t just read a vendor’s reviews. They may be incredible but they may not be right FOR YOU. If you’re a modern bride looking for black and white decor, and clean lines, don’t hire a vendor who describes themselves as romantic, bohemian, or vintage. Not only will you not be happy with the results, but the vendor may also not enjoy doing that work as much as they would if they were doing something they know they’re good at.
