Cape Cod Backyard Wedding

couple reception cape cod backyard wedding

This summer I had the privilege to design stationery for a beautiful Cape Cod backyard wedding editorial. I was asked to create the invitations and some day-of stationery which included a menu, hand-calligraphed sea glass place cards, as well as a hand-painted champagne bottle. I was so lucky to work with some amazing vendors that made the whole day magical. Check the photos below!

Wedding Invitations

Getting Ready

The bride’s dress suited her so perfectly. Love Bird Bridal Shop took such good care of it throughout the day. Speaking of suits, the groom was impeccably styled by Bard’s Clothing. The day had the perfect mix of coastal elegance and an intimate affair.

Bride holding hand painted champagne bottle

We painted this champagne bottle to complement the florals for the wedding day.

Seaside Ceremony

Becky is an amazing officiant and incredible human. She was such a calming and wise presence during the day. Also, this spray of flowers on the dock were such a perfect touch of New England chic.

The day was truly THE perfect weather. We couldn’t have asked for more perfect conditions. Also, how stunning are they?

Cape Cod Backyard Wedding Reception

I have to admit that I’m a sucker for these champagne towers.

We designed this welcome sign with specific flourishes to match the elegance of the event while also remaining playful since this is a backyard wedding. The florals by The Salty Florist were the perfect addition!

The table design by The Gilded Gals was perfection. Seriously, these touches of blue, the textures, the flowers. I’m in love!

cape cod wedding sea glass place cards

We chose sea glass place cards with 3 different shades of blue. We then hand-calligraphed everyone’s names on each. The menus feature spot calligraphy (aka, done by hand on paper and then digitized), as well as a crest with their new last name’s initial and hand-done illustrations of different sea shells.

Cake Cutting

This cake by Silver Wisk Bake Shop was gorgeous, the perfect size for the celebration, and absolutely delicious!!
